AK-30 Wireless moisture meter: Visilab Signal Technologies Oy from Finland has launched the new moisture meter AK30. The new meter is portable and can be used for many materials such as paper, board, sawdust, textiles etc. It uses NIR technology and   has measurement range up to 70% of water. It has a number of data capture features for field use. It is ideal for quality, production and troubleshooting tool. The wireless data transfer and long-lasting battery are as the standard features.Visilab's   moisture meters are sold and serviced in ANZ by UJL Pty Ltd.

UJL Pty Ltd (UJL Solutions) is now a committee member of the Manningham Business Network (MBN) in Manningham, Melbourne. MBN is a support and referral network aimed at bringing like-minded business owners and operators from the Manningham and surrounding areas together. The network aims to be a resource for small and medium businesses to help manage the challenges of operating at a local level. MBN supports the UJL team to improve customer service, finding new customers, and introducing new products, services and solutions, lowering customer prices and improving deliveries.

The new DURALYZER-NIR Desktop Kappa and Lime Analyzer . This new bench top Kappa and lime analyser has been designed to overcome all of the issues associated with manual Kappa and lime quality testing, providing fast, reliable and accurate results with minimal operator involvement. The DURALYZER-NIR bench top reflective light analyser provides similar results to manual laboratory tests. Results include Kappa and Residual Carbonate readings for pulp and lime samples. UJL Pty Ltd has recently delivered several Permi online analysers. The Permi analyser is supplied by ACA Systems Oy from Finland. The advanced measurement and signal technology makes it possible to have reliable and accurate paper porosity readings continously. No grade dependant calibrations are required. The latest benefits using the Permi analysers are refiner energy optimising  to save energy and improve qualities of papers as well as minimising or totally eliminating proporosity related paper losses. UJL Pty Ltd will supply locally start up and maintenance support.

UJL Pty Ltd has just launched a new moisture meter service: MX-UJL and IRMA7D moisture meters are  available from our Melbourne workshop for immediate customer use. The meter has inbuilt and pre-programmable calibration curves and can easily be installed to production machines or RTD trials. The rental service is for short-term trials and typical delivery time is a maximum of one week. The moisture meter's measurement range is from 0 to 70% and can read up to 400 readings per second. Easy connection to PLC , DCS or QCS and PC data logger software is also available. For more information, please contact UJL's office.

UJL Pty Ltd also at Appita2008 from 20-23 April 2008 in Rotorua, New Zealand . At the exhibition, we had a  stand with demostration equipment and posters and we gave the following presentations: PPW Inline washing solutions, MX-UJL moisture meter, IndMeas flow calibrations, Permi porosity analyser for board machines and Viconsys Dirt count analyser for pulp dryers. The conference outcome was very succesful.

Students from the Department of Forest Products Technology of Helsinki University of Technology visited Australia for a three-week excursion in March 2008. The group of 25 Finnish students completing a Master of Science degree was headed by Mr Pekka Pohjonen. UJL Pty Ltd sponsored the BBQ pool party on 23 March 2008 in Doncaster East, Melbourne.

UJL Pty Ltd announced that it has reserved stand number 14 at the 62nd annual Appita conference to be held in April, 2008 in Rotorua, New Zealand. The announcement coincides with UJL Pty Ltd being admitted as a Sustaining Member to the association. Appita is a technical association serving the Australian and New Zealand pulp and paper industry.   Australia's premier bio-energy conference, Bioenergy Australia 2006, was held at the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle , Western Australia from 6-7 December 2006. UJL Pty Ltd participated at the APPITA 2006 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Melbourne , Australia . The 60th APPITA Annual Conference and Exhibition included the Appita Asia Symposium Pulp and Paper's  the challenges in Asia Pacific was held at the Carlton Crest Hotel, Melbourne , Australia , from 3-5 April, 2006. We had the no. 19 stand. UJL Ltd Pty is owned by Mr. Urpo Launonen, who after 20 years experience in different automation companies serving the pulp and paper industry, established his own company in order to import and support several Finnish companies supplying equipment for the pulp and paper industry. UJL Pty Ltd is located in Melbourne , Australia .

UJL Pty Ltd officially began operating on May 2nd, 2005 . The main customers are in paper and pulp mills, metal, food, printing, mineral and chemical industries.
