This delivery covers complete web monitoring and paper quality inspection systems. The systems utilise Procemex-Flex high speed HD matrix camera technology together with strobe LED illumination. The Australian Paper Maryvale Pulp mill has purchased a Senfit BMA Analyser. The BMA Biomass Analyser is used to inspect incoming wood-chip moisture content. The BMA gives moisture readings within a few seconds and then helps pulp mill operators with better control for wood-chip cooking digesters. UJL Pty Ltd gave a special presentation at the SCAA Technical meeting on 18 June 2012 on the topic of Innovative solutions for production testing. UJL Pty Ltd will also attend the IICA Melbourne Process Control for a Low Carbon World Seminar on 20 June 2012. The seminar is about Process Control for a Low Carbon World, and UJL will be discussing water quality monitoring in real time using electrochemistry, and related solutions.

AK-30 Wireless moisture meter: Visilab Signal Technologies Oy from Finland has launched the new moisture meter AK30. The new meter is portable and can be used for many materials such as paper, board, sawdust, textiles etc. It uses NIR technology and has measurement range up to 70% of water. It has a number of data capture features for field use. It is ideal for quality, production and troubleshooting tool. The new DURALYZER-NIR Desktop Kappa and Lime Analyzer . This new bench top Kappa and lime analyser has been designed to overcome all of the issues associated with manual Kappa and lime quality testing, providing fast, reliable and accurate results with minimal operator involvement. UJL Pty Ltd has recently delivered several Permi online analysers. The Permi analyser is supplied by ACA Systems Oy from Finland. The advanced measurement and signal technology makes it possible to have reliable and accurate paper porosity readings continously. No grade dependant calibrations are required. The latest benefits using the Permi analysers are refiner energy optimising to save energy and improve qualities of papers as well as minimising or totally eliminating proporosity related paper losses. UJL Pty Ltd has just launched a new moisture meter service: MX-UJL and IRMA7D moisture meters are available from our Melbourne workshop for immediate customer use. The meter has inbuilt and pre-programmable calibration curves and can easily be installed to production machines or RTD trials. The rental service is for short-term trials and typical delivery time is a maximum of one week. The moisture meter's measurement range is from 0 to 70% and can read up to 400 readings per second. Students from the Department of Forest Products Technology of Helsinki University of Technology visited Australia for a three-week excursion in March 2008.
